Given: Radius(r) of the sphere = 6cm.

Thus the volume of the given sphere
= 4/3 π r³
= 4/3 π 6³
= 288 π cm³.

(i) Now, the sphere is melted and recasted into a cylinder of height = 32 cm.
Let radius of the cylinder be r cm.

=> π r²h = 288 π cm³
=> r² (32) = 288
=> r² = 9
=> r = 3 cm [taking +ve value, since radius can't be -ve]

Hence the radius of the sphere = 3 cm.

(ii) CSA of the cylinder = 2πrh.
= 192 π cm²
= 595.2 cm²
