Hola..!!

24.Sol'n: Let
x = a + 2b
Therefore,
1 - 2(a + 2b) - 3 {(a + 2b)}^{2}  \\  = 1 - 2x - 3 {x}^{2}  \\  =  - 3 {x}^{2}  - 2x + 1 \\  =  - 3 {x}^{2}  - (3 - 1)x + 1 \\  =  - 3 {x}^{2}  - 3x + x + 1 \\   =  - 3x(x + 1) + 1(x + 1) \\  = (x + 1)( - 3x + 1) \\  = ((a + 2b) + 1)( - 3(a + 2b) + 1) \\  = (a + 2b + 1)( - 3a  - 6b + 1)
Do the second one same as the first one.

Hope it'll help u..
