Answer :-

  • X = -76

  • y = 66

Step by step explanation :-

Given :-

  • 2x+3y =46
  • 3x+5y =74

➤ we will solve this equation by Elimination method.

  • (2x+3y=46) × 3
  • (3x+5y=74) × 2

➜ 6x + 9y = 138. ------ 1

6x + 10y = 158 ------- 2

➤ Now, we will subtract the equation 2 from equations 1, we get

➜ 6x + 9y = 92

6x + 10y = 158

-y = - 66

➜ y = 66,

➤ Now, we will put the value of y in equation 1,

➜ 2x + 3y = 46

➜ 2x + 3× 66= 46

➜ 2x + 198 = 46

➜ 2x = -152

➜ x = -76

❒ Therefore the value of x is -76 and value of y is 66.
