Your answer

Let Total items be x

Necklaces sold =

x -  \frac{2}{5}

Bracelets Sold =

x -  \frac{3}{4}

LCM Of 4 and 5 = 20

 \frac{2}{5}  =  \frac{8}{20}

 \frac{3}{4}  =  \frac{15}{20}

Necklaces = ...(i)

 \frac{20}{20}  -   \frac{8}{20}  =  \frac{12}{20}

Bracelets = ...(ii)

 \frac{20}{20}  -  \frac{15}{20}  =  \frac{5}{20}

After Adding (i) and (ii)

 \frac{12}{20}  +  \frac{5}{20}  =  \frac{17}{20}

Hence Answer is option (4)
