ANSWER

Given=>

1) The ratio of 2 rupee coin and 5 rupee coin is 2:5.

2)The total amount of money is Rs 87.

Now, let the number of 2 rupee coins be 2x and 5 rupees coins are 5x.

So, the total amount of 2 rupees coin in the bag will be =2×(2x) = 4x

The total amount of 5 rupee coin in the bag will be =5×(5x) = 25x

So, according to the question we have =>

4x + 25x = 87

=>29x = 87

=>x= 3

Hence there are -->

i) 2×3 = 6 two rupee coins.

ii) 5×3 = 15 five rupee coins.

So, the total amount in the bag will be ->

(6×2) + (15×5) = 12 + 75 = 87 rupees.

Remember

1)This type of equation is called the linear Equation in One variable since it has only one variable (like 'x' here).
