Initially the distance covered by the car will be equal to the distance covered by the bus

speed =50 m/s

speed (v)=distance/time

distance (s)=50×t

As per the formula,

s = ut +  \frac{1a {t}^{2} }{2}

50t =  \frac{1a {t}^{2} }{2}

t =  \frac{50 \times 2}{5}  \\ t =  \frac{100}{5}   \\ t = 20sec

distance at which the bus overtakes the car

=50×t

=50×20

=1000m

As per the formula,

v² =u² +2 as

v² = 2 ×5 ×1000

v² =10000

v=100 m/s
