Total Resistance is 8/5 or 1.6 ohm .
Explaination-
R1 and R2 are connected in series because Current is not dividing in two or more path.That's why both of them will be added i.e. 4 ohm +4 ohm=8 ohm
And then R3 is parallel to it .We will apply
1/R=1/8+1/2
1/R=1+4/8
1/R=5/8
R=8/5=1.6
