Given :-

 \sf \: 18 - \frac { 3 y } { 4 } = 11 + y

Solution :-

 \sf18 - \frac { 3 y } { 4 } = 11 + y

Multiply both sides of the equation by 4.

  \sf \: 72-3y=44+4y

Subtract 4y from both sides.

 \sf \: 72-3y-4y=44

Combine -3y and -4y to get -7y.

 \sf72-7y=44

Subtract 72 from both sides.

 \sf-7y=44-72

Subtract 72 from 44 to get -28.

 \sf-7y=-28

Divide both sides by -7.

 \sf y=\frac{-28}{-7}

Divide -28 by -7 to get 4.

 \sf y=4
