b * (3 - a)  = 9

=> a/(3 -a)  = 21/9

=> a/(3 - a)  = 7/3

=> 3a = 21 - 7a

=> 10a = 21

=> a  = 21/10

   b  =  10  

8 - a  = 8 - 21/10  = 59/10

3 - a  =  3 - 21/10  = 9/10

21/10       +  59/10      =  8
