Hey mate,

pH = -log[H]

pH = 1 = -log[0.1 mol/L]

pH = 2 = -log[0.1/(X+1)]

0.1/(X+1) = 0.01

X=9

9 litres of water must be added in order to make an aqueous solution of HCl with a pH of 2.

Hope it helps!
