 {12}^{ - 5}  \times  {12}^{2n + 1}  =  {12}^{13}  \div  {12}^{7}

 =  {12}^{( - 5 + 2n + 1)}  =  {12}^{(13 - 7)}

 =  {12}^{2n - 4}  =  {12}^{8}

 =  {12}^{2n}  =  {12}^{12}

 =  {12}^{n}  =  {12}^{6}

 = n = 6
