Answer:

Question :-

If the length of the rectangle is (x+2) cm and breadth is (x+1) cm find the area of the rectangle

Required Answer :-

x²+x-2

Solution :-

Given :-

Length - (x+2) cm

Breadth - (x-1) cm

To find :-

The area of the rectangle

Formula used here :-

Area = length × breadth

Let's find the area !

Area = l × b

= (x+2) × (x-1)

 =  x ( x-1) +2(x-1)

= x²-x +2x - 2

 =  {x}^{2}  + x - 2

Therefore area of the rectangle is x²+x-2
