Solve this numerical.... A 55 kg man holds a weight of 20 kg on his head. What is the work done by him against gravity if he moves a distance of 20 m (1) on a horizontal road, (2) on an incline of 1 in 5? Take g = 10ms-2

if he walks on horizontal road
the angle between his motion and force(weight) applied is 90°
so work done = 0

Total mass = 55+20. => 75 kg

S = 20 m

I) Work done on a horizontal road is zero. His mass and the load mass apply their force downwards, while the movement is horizontal.

II) Work done on the inclined plane

W = mgh

W = 75×10×4

W = 3000J
