Heya......!!!

_____________________________

Let :
→ vector A = 3i^ - 2j^ + 4k^

→ vector B = 12i^ + 3j^ - 4k^

We have to find out the component of vector A along the direction of vector B

=> A•B = ABCosθ

=> Acosθ = A•B ÷ | B |

This is the component of vector A along the direction of vector B .

So , A•B = 36 - 6 - 4 => 26

and | B | => √( 12^2 + 3^2 + (-4)^2 )

→ | B | = √169 => 13

→ A•B = 26

=> Acosθ = A•B ÷ |B|

=> Acosθ = 26 / 13 => 2

♦ component of vector A along the direction of vector B = 2

Hope It Helps You ☺
