Let h be the height of the telephone pole.Since, time is same in the both cases.

we can say that,

<strong> </strong>\tt \angle \: BCA \: \angle \: DEA \: = \theta \:<strong> </strong></p><p>

Clearly ABC and ADE are similar

 \bf \implies \: \frac{ac}{ad} = \frac{ad}{ab} \\ \bf \implies \frac{24}{16} = \frac{15}{h} \\ \bf \implies \: h = \frac{ {15} \times{ 16}}{ {24}} \\ \bf \implies \: h = \frac{ \cancel{240}}{ \cancel{24}} \\ \bf \implies \: h = 10m.

Hence,

  • height of the telephone pole is 10m. ans.
