Explanation:-
O^2 - V^2 = -2as
or v^2 ∝s ; (v+ 20v/100)^2 ∝s'
or s'/s = (1+20/100)^2 = 36/25 or (s'/s - 1) × 100
= (36/25 - 1) × 100 = 44

From above v² ∝ S

(v₁ / v₂)² = (S₁ / S₂)
(100 / 120)² = (100 / S₂)
25/36 = 100 / S₂
S₂ = 100 × (36 / 25)
S₂ = 144

Minimum distance in which it can be stopped is increased by = 144 - 100 = 44%

(1) is the correct option.
