The general expression of travelling wave can be written as

∴ y = a sin ( ωt + kx ) _[i]

For travelling wave along positive x- axis we should use minus ( - ) sign only

y = a sin ( ωt - kx )

But,

ω = 2πv/ λ and k = 2π / λ

So, y = a sin 2π/ λ ( vt - x ) __[ii]

Given, a = 0.2 sin 2π /60 ( 360t - x)

or, y = 0.2 sin 2π [ 6t - x/60 ]
