Given length of the longer diagonal, d = 120 m Length of perpendiculars, h1 = 12.7 m, h2 = 7.3 m Area of a quadrilateral = Hence area of the field = (1/2) × 120 × (12.7 + 7.3) = (1/2) × 120 × 20 = 120 × 10 = 1200 Thus the area of the field is 1200 sq m.
