if we increase dilution by 100 times then the concentration of the acid becomes 1/100 times and same with [H+] ions .Here , we are considering that the acid is a strong acid and it will dissociate completely into its ions.

after dilution the pH becomes pH =-log[\frac{1}{100} H+]

pH =-log[1/10^{2}H+]

pH =-(-2)log[H+]

pH becomes twice that of the acid before dilution.

so the answer is 6
