Solution:- x + /x = 4 _____(1)

=>( x+ 1/x)² = 4²

=> x² + 1/x² + 2×x×/x = 16

=> x² + 1/x² = 14_________(2)

And, x⁴+ 1/x⁴ = (x²)²+(1/x²)²

we know that, a²+b² = (a+b)² -2ab

similarly , (x²+ 1/x² )²- 2*x²×1/x²

=> (14)² - 2 = 196 - 2 = 194

From equation (2)

hence, x⁴+ 1/x⁴ = 194 Answer ✔
