Given that, x=2 and x=0 are the zeroes of polynomial, p(x)=2x³–5x²+ax+b

Firstly, Put, x=2 in p(x);

p(2)=2(2)³–5(2)²+a(2)+b=0 (as 2 is a zero)

0=2a+b–4......(1)

Secondly, Put, x=0;

p(0)=b=0........(2)

Put, (2) in (1);

=> a=2

Therefore, a=2, and b=0

Verification:

Put, x=2, a=2, b=0

2(2)³–5(2)²+2(2)+0

16–20+4

–4+4

0

Hence, verified.
