Solving eq. (1) , we get....

6x-4y=12

6x=12+4y

x= 12+4y ----------(3)

8× 12+4y -3y = -2

4(12+4y)-9y = -6

48+16y-9y= -6

54= -7y

y= -54

Putting y= -54 in eq. (3)
