35. \frac{1}{16}  \times  (\frac{1}{2})^{2}  = ( \frac{1}{2} )^{3(x - 2)} \\ \frac{1}{16}  \times  \frac{1}{4}  =  \frac{1}{64}  \\ ( \frac{1}{2} )^{3(x - 2)} = ( \frac{1}{2} )^{3x - 6}

Now, refer to the 1st and 2nd attachment.

x = 4

 \frac{x - 1}{x + 1}  =  \frac{4 - 1}{4 + 2}  =  \frac{3}{6}  =  \frac{1}{2}  = 0.5
