Mr. Murlidhar Devidas Amte. He was a big lawyer. He made many sacrifices which is the reason he is known now also. He gave up the practice of law and also undertook the training in Kolkata to treat Leprosy patients. For leprosy patients he also opened a hospital known as Anandvan. Today it has many buildings, farms etc. and also a fully equipped hospital. He was very courageous. He won many awards such as Parma Shri , Padma Vibhushan but he declined them. He also won Danien Dutton and Leprosy Aid in 1983. He was determined and also hardworking. He was very humble to everyone. Unfortunately he died in the year 2009.
