ANSWER:-

(d) c & a have same signs.

EXPLANATION:-

Roots of an equation can only be equal if

 \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac}  = 0

This is only possible if the signs of a & c are either both positive or both negative.

If one of them is positive and the other is negative, they will cancel out , i.e.,

-4×-(c)= +4ac

Thus reulting into an addition, which will never produce 0 as the answer.
