It is given that :

$\sqrt{x + 8 + 6 \sqrt{x - 1} }$ - $\sqrt{x + 3 + 4 \sqrt{x - 1} }$ = 0

⇒ $\sqrt{x + 8 + 6 \sqrt{x - 1} }$ = $\sqrt{x + 3 + 4 \sqrt{x - 1} }$

Now squaring both the sides , we will get, 

⇒ x + 8 + 6$\sqrt{x - 1}$ = x + 3 + 4$\sqrt{x - 1}$

⇒ 6$\sqrt{x - 1}$ - 4$\sqrt{x - 1}$ = 3 - 8

⇒ 2$\sqrt{x - 1}$ = -5

⇒ $\sqrt{x - 1}$ = -5/2

Again squaring both the sides,

⇒ x - 1 = 25/4

⇒ x = 25/4 + 1

⇒ x = 29/4

Or x = 7.25
