Equivalent resistance in the given circuit is 5+10 = 15 ohm


equivalent potential difference in a given circuit is
12+6 = 18 V

V = 18 V
R = 15 ohm

V = IR
18 = I × 15
I = 18/15
I = 1.2 A

potential drop across resistor 10 ohm is equals to
V = IR
V = 1.2 × 10
V = 12 V

potential drop across resistor of 5 ohm is equals to
V = IR
V = 1.2 × 5
V = 6 V
