We can solve this using Faactorisation method. We get,

=> 2x² - 10 x - 1 x + 5 = 0

=> 2x ( x - 5 ) - 1 ( x - 5 ) = 0

=> ( 2x - 1 ) ( x - 5 ) = 0

=> 2x - 1 = 0 ; x - 5 = 0

=> x = 1 / 2 ; x = 5

Hence the values of 'x' are 1 / 2 and 5
