The Pressure on the Rear side would be more due to Fictitious force on the rear face. Consequently the pressure on the front side would be lowered.


Fictitious Force acts in the opposite direction of Acceleration.

So P = ρax where a is acceleration and x is horizontal displacement.

Differentiating with respect to x, we get dp/dx = -ρa

Negative value because the pressure falls in the container.

When the compartment is accelerated in the positive direction, then there is a decrease in pressure. So, the pressure in the compartment is smaller in front side compared to the rear side of the container.

So option 2 is correct.
