Given x,y,z are in AP
So,
2y= x+z
y= (x+z)/2
Again',
x,y, (z+) are in GP.
So,
y² = x(z+1)
= x(z+1)
{ (x+z)/2}² = x(z+1).......from equation (I)
On solving we get ,
(x-z)² =4x
