Answer:

(tan 20° x cot 70°) - (sec 20° x cosec 70°)

= (tan(90°-70° x cot70°) - (sec(90°-70° x cosec 70°)

= (cot 70° x cot 70°) - (cosec 70° x cosec 70°)

(As tan - cot and sec - cosec are complementary)

= cot^2 20° - cosec^2 20°

= 1

Since cot^2 α - cosec^2 α = 1

Therefore, the answer is

{\huge{\boxed{\boxed{\purple{1}}}}}

Hope this helps you.
