2x+3y = 11 ...(1)

2x -4y = -24 .....(2)

Subtract equation 2 from equation(1) we get

7y = 35

y= 5

substitute the value of y = 5 in equation (1)

2x+3(5)=11

2x +15= 11

2x = 11-15

2x = -4

x = -2

Now substitute the value of x and y in

y = mx+3

5= m(-2)+3

5 = -2m +3

2m = 3-5

2m = -2

m = -1
