There is a rectangular hall with dimensions 24 and 16 m.

Hence area = length x breadth =24x16 = 384 sq m.

Each carpet is a rectangle with dimensions 2.5 and 1.2 m.

Hence area = length x breadth = 2.5 x 1.2 = 3 sq m.

Thus if 1 carpet is required 3 sq m

we have to find out the no of carpets for 384 sq m.

No of carpets = 384/3 = 128

Hence answer is 128 carpets are required for that room
