\bold{\large{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}}

\bold{\large{\underline{\underline{Given}}}}: Cylindrical tube open at both ends

Internal diameter (r)= 10.4 cm

Thickness = 8 mm = 0.8 cm

Length of cylinder (h) = 25 cm

\bold{\large{\underline{\underline{To\: Find}}}}:

Volume of metal in hollow cylinder

\bold{\large{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}}

Outer diameter (R) = Inner radius + thickness of metal

= (10.4 + 0.8)

= 11.2 cm

Volume of metal in cylinder = πh(R² - r²)

= π × 25 ( 11.2² - 10.4²)

= π × 25 ( 11.2 - 10.4)(11.2+10.4)

= π × 25 (0.8)(21.6)

= 1357.16 cm³

\bold{\large{\underline{\underline{Answer}}}}:

The total volume of material used in the cylinder is
\bold{1,357.16\: cubic \: centimetres} .
