In 1st case
height= altitude corresponding to AD=8cm
base= AB=CD=10cm
Area of parallelogram= b*h= 10*8=80 cm sq. - (1
In 2nd case
height= altitude corresponding to AB= 7cm
base= BC = AD
Area of parallelogram= b*h=AD*7 cm sq. - (2)
from (1) &(2)
80 = AD*7
AD= 80/7
AD =11.43
