given \: that \\  \: u = 3 {x}^{2}  - 2xy +  {y}^{2} . \\  \\ v = 2 {x}^{2}  + 5xy + 7 {y}^{2} . \\  \\ w = 5 {x}^{2} + 3xy + 8 {y}^{2} . \\  \\  now \\  \\ (3  {x}^{2}  - 2xy +  {y}^{2} ) + (2 {x}^{2}  + 5xy + 7 {y}^{2} ) - (5 {x}^{2}  + 3xy + 8 {y}^{2}  = 0 \\  \\ 3 {x}^{2}  - 2xy +  {y}^{2}  + 2 {x}^{2} + 5xy + 7 {y}^{2}   - 5 {x}^{2}  - 3xy - 8 {y}^{2}  = 0 \\  \\ 0 =  =  > 0

Hence proved.
