Let 'x' be the width of the rectangular garden.

length = X + 3

perimeter = 26 m

perimeter of the rectangular garden = 2 ( L +B)

26. = 2 ( X + 3+X)

26 = 2 (2x + 3)

26/2= 2x +3

13. = 2x+ 3

13-3 = 2x

10 = 2x

X = 5 m
============

The with of the rectangular garden is 5 m.
The length of the rectangular garden is

= X + 3
= 5 +3
= 8 m
========

Rectangle
Let the width of rectangle=X
Length=X+3
Perimeter=2(l+b)
P=2(X+3+X)
P=2(2x+3)
26=4x+6
26-6=4x
20=4x
X=20/4
X=5
Breadth=5m
And length=5+3=8m
