distance =  \sqrt{ {x2 - x1}^{2} +  {y2 - y1}^{2}  }

 =  \sqrt{ {4 - 2}^{2} +  {1 - 3}^{2}  }

 =  \sqrt{ {2}^{2} +  {( - 2)}^{2}  }

 =  \sqrt{4}  +  \sqrt{4}
