Arun starts from A and goes 30 m North (to reach B).

From B,

Then turns right and walks 40 m East to reach C

From C,

Then turns right, facing South and moves 20 m to reach D.

Again he turns right thus facing West and moves 40 m to reach E

So he is in line with the starting point at a distance of (30−20) = 10 m

\tt \therefore \pink  {Option \: 1^{st} \: is \: correct \: 10}
