Let's take the price of diesel to be x. (For convenience, let's keep it Rs. 100)
and petrol to be y. (.'. It is Rs. 200)
Now, in a year, petrol will be - Rs.200+ Rs 40 (20% of 200)
and diesel will be 100 + 10
In year 2, petrol will be 240 + 48 = 288
and diesel will be 110 + 11 = 121
Therefore, Diesel will be ~42% of Petrol
