we know that length is directly proportional to the Resistance

{ it means if length increase then resistance also increase }

here ,

1 ohm = 50 cm length wire

for 4ohm we have to increase lengthy to 200 cm .

✍️ 1 ohm resistance is the resistance of any conductor when the potential difference between the two ends (or terminals) of the conductor is 1 volt and a current of 1 ampere flows through the conductor.

✍️ When the wire has a resistance of 1 ohm, it's length is 50 cm.

When the wire will have a resistance of 4 ohm, then it's length should be (50×4) cm or 200 cm.

Thus, He should stretch it uniformly to a length of 200 cm to obtain a resistance of 4 ohm in the wire.
