Given,
P(9a-2,b)
A(3a+1,-3)
B(8a,5)
So,
x = 9a-2
x1 = 3a+1
x2 = 8a
y = -b
y1 = -3
y2 = 5
m = 3
n = 1
Section formula,
x coordinates,
x = (m.x2 + n.x1)/(m+n)
9a-2 = (3 x 8a + 1 x (9a-2))/(3+1)
9a-2 = (24a + 9a -2) / 4
4(9a-2) =33a - 2
36a - 8 = 33a - 2
36a -33a = 8 - 2
3a = 6
a = 6/3
a = 2
y coordinates,
y = (m.y2 + n.y1)/(m+n)
-b = (3 x 5 + 1 x -3)/ (3+1)
-b = (15-3)/4
-b = 12/4
-b = 3
b = -3
So,
a = 2
b = -3
Now,
a² + b² = 2² + (-3)²
= 4 + 9
= 13
Hope it may help you!!!!!!
Plz mark my answer as brainlest!!!!!!
