Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

The base area of a cuboid = 180 cm²

The volume of the cuboid = 900 cm³

To find :-

Find the height of the cuboid ?

Solution :-

Let the height of the cuboid be h cm

Given that

The base area of the cuboid = 180 cm²

We know that

The base of the cuboid is a circle

So, The base area of a cuboid = The area of the circle = πr² sq.units

Where , r is the radius

=> πr² = 180 cm² ------------------(1)

And we know that

The volume of a cuboid = πr²h cubic units

According to the given problem

The volume of the cuboid = 900 cm³

=> πr²h = 900 cm³ --------------(2)

On dividing (2) by (1)

=> πr²h/πr² = 900/180

=> h = 5 cm

Therefore, height = 5 cm

Answer:-

The height of the cuboid for the given problem is 5 cm

Used formulae:-

  • The base area of a cuboid = The area of the circle = πr² sq.units
  • Where , r is the radius
  • The volume of a cuboid = πr²h cubic units
  • h = height
  • π = 22/7
