It's pretty simple.

let us assume that the number is (10x+y)

after reversing it we will get (10y+x).

according to the condition given in the question the difference of these two numbers will be 36.
i.e. (10x+y) - (10y+x) = 36.
or, after simplifying it we will get,

x-y=4.

according to the second condition given in the question,

x-y =4.

therefore by hit and trial method we know that the value of x must be greater than 4 and less than equal to 9.

while putting the value of x equals to 6 we get y = 2.

The required number is 62. (Ans)

Hey there!

Let the number be 10x+y

The number obtained on reversing it's digits = 10y + x

According to the question,

10x+y - 36 = 10y + x

9x - 9y = 36

x - y = 36/9 = 4 .

But, In question it is already given that x - y = 4 .

So we x = y + 4

If x = 5, y = 1
x = 6 , y = 2
x = 7 , y = 3
x = 8 , y = 4
x = 9 , y = 5

x can't be 10 or y can't be more than 5 . Because x, y are single digits.

Now, If x = 5 , y = 1
10x+ y = 51
10y + x = 15

51 - 15 = 36

If x = 6 , y = 2
10x + y = 62
10y + x = 26

62 - 26 = 36

The same goes with other numbers as well.

So, The required number can be 51,62,73,84,95
