$\implies$ BC = BC (Common)

$\implies$ Angle ABD = angle ACD (angles opposite to the equal sides of a triangle are always equal)

$\therefore$ triangle ABC and BCD are congurent (SAS congurence rule)

So,

BD = CD (CPCT)
