x-2=0

x=0

so,

putting the value of x

2^3+2*(2)^2-2k+10

8+8+10=2k

26=2k

k=13 is the answer

now, putting the value of x=-5

-5^3+2*(-5)^2-13*-5+10

-125+50+65+10=0

-125+115+10=0

-10+10=0

0=0

so,yes(x+5)is the factor

Answer:

k=13

(x+5) is also a factor

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)= x³+2x²-kx+10=0

x=2

2³+2(2)²-2k+10=0

8+8-2k+10=0

26-2k=0

26=2k

k=26/2=13

To find if x+5 is a factor,

f(-5)=(-5)³+2(-5)²-(-5)13+10

-125+50+65+10=0

-125+125=0

0=0

Therefore, (x+5) is also a factor.
