RohitSaketi: the lines are intersecting at x,y (3,2)..... area=1/2 l×b =1/2)×2×3=3sq units

anandita2813: but the answer given in the book is 13.5sq. units

RohitSaketi: Height=3 units know see the graph..and base is 9units of y axis know..so (1/2)*9*3=13.5 if you want area bounded by x axis then height=2,base is 3 see graph and u all get 3units answer.

RohitSaketi: all this time i didnot see tye graph properly..im counting base as '8' and doing (1/2)*8*3=12(but u said ans is 13.5)nd now i saw it clearly..-1 to 8..total nine units..
