(a)

-14/-49.

Here, the denominator of the rational number is negative.First make it positive by multiplying with -1, we get

= > (-14) * (-1)/(-49) * (-1)

= > 14/49

= > 2/7

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(2)

72/-108

Here, the denominator is negative,.So, Multiply the numerator and denominator by -, we get

= > (72) * (-1)/(-108) * (-1)

= > -72/108

Here, the Greatest common divisor of 72 and 108 is 36.

= > -72/36 * 108/36

= > -2/3.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(3)

-16/56

Here, the Denominator is positive.

Greatest common factor of 16 and 56 is 8.

= > (-16)/8 * (56)/8

= > -2/7.

Hope it helps!
