2x - 6y = 3. 2x = 3 + 6y

6y = 2x - 3

y=(2x - 3)/6.....(1) x = (6y + 3)/2......(2)

now when x = -5, from (1)

y = (2*-5 - 3)/6

y = (-10 - 3)/6

y = -13/6

(x,y) = (-5, -13/6)

when y = 0, from (2)

x = (6*0+3)/2

x = (0+3)/2

x = 3/2

(x,y) = (3/2, 0)
