We know that in rright angled triangle, a²+b²=h²(pythagoras theorem)

AB² +BC²=AC²

AB = BC

so, AB²+AB²=AC²

2AB²=AC²

√2AB² = √AC² = AC

AB√2 = AC = 16√2

Now cancel √2 from both sides

AB = 16cm
